博讯最早加入onelist.com的电子邮件部落群服务，因这种服务是读者自由加入和退出，发送邮件不涉及法律问题。之后onelist.com被雅虎收购，服务地址也改为cndigest@yahoogroups.com。

博讯每天只向订阅者发送一次邮件，内容是博讯主要栏目点击数最高的新闻。会员加入和退出有部分故障，因为YAHOOGROUPS不允许更改最早基于ONELIST的加入和退出说明。更改时总显示"欢迎词有限制词“的错误。

因六四13周年将到，雅虎此刻终止博讯新闻邮件的服务，时机敏感，对所有使用YAHOO邮件的用户敲响警钟，因为YAHOO为了其商业利益，在政治高压下，可能违反商业道德。YAHOO不给任何警告删除所有CNDIGEST的会员资料，非常令人气氛！BOXUN特别向读者表示遗憾！

博讯是由北美留学生业余创建，由来自世界各地的业余华人维持的网站。开创两年多来，日益受到读者的喜爱。博讯呼吁媒体和热心人士关注此事，希望雅虎对此事件做出合理解释！

On May 28 (NY time), Boxun News editor found that YAHOO has deleted its daily news email group (CNDIGEST@YAHOOZGROUPS.COM). YAHOO did not contact the group's owner.

Boxun News started to use this service when it was under ONELIST.COM, YAHOO aquired this service later and changed its name to be YAHOOGROUPS.

Because this service allows members to subscribe and unsubscribe freely, Boxun can stay clear of email Spam charge.

In the past two years, thousands of members have used this service to receive Boxun Daily Selected Chinese News that is automatically selected based on the hits and sent to this group. Many readers in China find it is a useful way to read 'forbidden' news after Boxun was blocked in May 2000 (two months after it was founded).

Boxun News Network (www.boxun.com, www.peacehall.com) was founded by Chinese students in the USA, and has been maintained by Volunteers from many countries. Boxun promotes freedom of speech, it allows different voices like an open forum. This web site has becoming more and more popular among Chinese readers. In addition to its news columns, Boxun has opened more than 20 special columns for popular writers and significant events in China. As June 4th anniversiry is coming, YAHOO's action is very possible because of political reasons. Boxun is very angery with YAHOO's rude action. Boxun has lost all its members list by this action.
